This year's Fund-an-Item project is a major capital investment in our campus, and the final and largest phase in our multi-year playground modernization plan.  

Our goal is to revamp, remodel and turf our grass baseball field in the southeast corner of our campus.  This project will allow us to grow our playground with more than 70,000 square feet of all-season usable, turfed, play area.  

The new field will consist of a multi-use synthetic turf field which will include a little league size baseball field with a revised layout for sun exposure and Junior High size soccer field. This will allow students to have the opportunity to play baseball, soccer, and other games during recess, afterschool, and even allow teams to utilize the field for practices, growing our SCB Athletics offerings.

The cost of this project is approximately $2 million dollars.  We are currently working with foundations in order to procure funds as well as reaching out to private investors.  Our community will need to come together, to raise between $750,000 -$1M in order to make this dream become a reality for our students.  

Over the last several years we have focused on creating outdoor spaces for our students to learn, play, grow and create memories at St. Charles.  The field is the last remaining piece we need to complete in order to utilize all the play space we have in the back of our campus.  We are excited about the possibilities it will bring to our students and community.
